 CPS Student Earns Award

 Belle Bollman, second grade student in Mrs. Sanderson's class, is the winner of the 4-H Fire Safety Poster Contest in Chesterfield County.  Additionally, Bollman is the second place Pee Dee Region winner.  This contest is designed to help youth learn about fire safety issues and promote the importance of fire safety and prevention for youth and families.  For her accomplishments, she was honored with a certificate and a check for thirty dollars.

  CPS Celebrates Arbor Day

An Arbor Day program was held by the town of Cheraw at CPS on December 4th.  Scott Laney along with the Parks and Public Facilities Staff planted a tree on CPS property to commemorate this event and lead in the program.  Participating in the program were two second grade classes, Mrs. O'Neal's and Mrs. Pegues' classes, along with Mayor Scott Hunter and other members of the Town Council.

  Fundraiser Comes to a Close

CPS held it's annual fundraiser.  The three top sellers were Tyler Byrd, Hunter Clark, and Jacob Teal.  The top selling classes earned a chance for their teacher to participate in a Wiggly Car Race.  The winner of the race was Mrs. Sanderson.
